AARP Statistics

This week, AARP released a preliminary study of a survey they conducted in October 2010 with 5,000+ men and womeen, age 50 and older.

  • 24.7% have exhausted their savings

  • 19.4% fell behind in credit card payments (or they accumulated more card debt)

  • 12.4% lost their health insurance

  • 49.5% put off medical or dental care they needed, (or they didn't take medication on schedule)

    Scary stuff! Scary world we live in today!
