Aging Gracefully
How does age define us? Aging gracefully is an art... Some things are simply beyond our control... we will age. Why not look at age as another stage in life, don't freak out about it, just another day...You can choose to be happy, busy, fulfilled in retirement. You can also choose to be unhappy, a couch potato, and living a boring retirement. Choose to look at the wisdom of your age, and look for opportunities to connect with family and friends for fun. Seek out new challenges -- life changes as we live it and our attitude towards change makes or breaks our own self worth, our own happiness. Be happy!
Life is short: don't let yourself go there! Depression hurts. Here is one group of women with comments on Women and their Friends. Your friends can pull you through the tough times and give you great JOY in the good times! We all need friendships (both the once-in-a-while friend lunches and the friends we can't live without daily emails and chats). Thoughts on aging - What makes you start feeling old? and when do you feel young again? Seniors and Computers... they DO go together like peanut butter and jelly! Age 80 - Pete's view on life at age 80... sadly, my 16 year online friendship with Pete ended when he passed away at age 82. I miss him... Wendy Death is part of aging, most of my parents friends (at age 83) are gone. They've lost about 20 couples from their Vegas vacation spot over the past few years alone, one by one, but death is inevitable. I recently found a beautiful website on Creative Funeral Ideas, and thought I'd pass it along here as it might really helps someone at this sad time. Aging Quotes - funny and thought provoking!
