Are Naps Healthy?

Napping has great health benefits, and napping can make you smarter too!

Sleep gives your body a chance to deal with everything that happened, repair itself and then reset itself too.

At night, you reset your brain for the next day.

A cat nap can reset your brain for your afternoon.

Sleep at night (and napping too) provides lots of health benefits:

With a nap, you reset from all you've done or thought/heard/seen in the morning. Your afternoons are better prepared for whatever comes your way!

Just think, we take longer to fall asleep and wake up more often all night long. To me, the perfect remedy to poor sleep at night is napping! Yeah, I admit, I love my naps too!

A short nap is usually recommended (20-30 minutes) for short-term alertness. This helps improved alertness -- without leaving you feeling groggy or interfering with nighttime sleep.

Sleep Affirmation for Bedtime or Naps!

If you don't sleep well at night, take a nap. If you can't seem to nap, try this affirmation.

I really beleive in affirmations, say them over a period of time (maybe a few weeks to a month) and finally your subconscious will realize "Hey, this is important and I need to take notice!"  Changes are still possible!

As a retirement society, we need to stop thinking of sleep as a luxury... sleep and enjoy that nap!
