Clay sculputure is my retirement hobby...

by Sally T.
(Texas)

My hobby is clay sculpture.

I belong to a cooperative studio. The cost of clay and low firing is minimal. Studio space probably costs more. A cooperative studio gives one an opportunity for socializing.

However, if you are serious about your art, you might be more comfortable in your own place.

I have been working in clay for 30 years. It is getting harder. The cold and dampness of the clay encourages arthritis. There is also heavy lifting at odd angles.
