Do You Love Your Husband?

by Tom Damron
(Plano, Texas)

A group of women were at a seminar on how to live in a loving relationship with your husband.

The women were asked, "How many of you love your husband?" All the women raised their hands. Then they were asked, "When was the last time you told your husband you loved him?" Some women answered today, a few yesterday, and some couldn't remember.

The women were then told to take out their cell phones and text their husband: "I love you, sweetheart." The women were then told to exchange phones with another person, and to read aloud the text message they received in response.

Here are some of the replies:

1.   Who the hell is this?
2.   Hey, mother of my children, are you sick or what?
3.   Yeh, and I love you too. What's up??
4.   What now?  Did you wreck the car again?
5.   I don't understand what you mean?
6.   What the sh_ _ did you do now?
7.   ?!?
8.   Don't beat around the bush, just tell me how much you need?
9.   Am I dreaming?
10. If you don't tell me who this message is actually for, someone will die.
11. I thought we agreed you wouldn't drink during the day.
12. Your mother is coming to stay with us, isn't she??

Yes funny. Additional humor supplied by the indication EVERY woman raised her hand. Strongly suspect some influenced by peer pressure.

I had a laugh with the responses to the question. This is one of the reasons I love this site, there's usually a bit of humour. And I was feeling a little 'blue' so this story brought a warm smile. Thank you

Nina from London gave some ideas of how to show love and said she had lots more ideas, can you please give some more Nina? i liked the ideas.

we have been married 30 years and are so comfortable, but the love light or passion seems to have gotten very dim. I keep forgetting to reach out a touch him when talking. I know that the touch makes a difference.

we took personality style test years ago and he is a Blue/Orange which basically means he likes touch and has a kind heart. The orange signifies someone who is spontaneous and fun loving. I was a gold/orange. Gold means organizer, leader, etc.

Anyway, what I need to learn how to communicate with him so that his blue side comes out. One of the ways is by touching him when we talk, but I keep forgetting.

Would like to hear more from others on this!

I sent the same message to my wife. She responded by saying: 'I know darling. You are always in my heart and please don't forget to go to the bank.'

Love and Marriage
by: Nina from London

Hello,

This was funny! In thinking about love and marriage I have to add..... Courting couples find time to hold hands and say "I love you" often.

After a few years you get into routines and the passion and romance seems to dwindle. Sometimes the romance disappears but the long term commitment is still there.

There are things that you can do which make the other person feel like the most wonderful person in the world.

Greeting your husband with a kiss, cooking his favorite meal, looking your best when meeting his friends or associates and running a happy home where he can be himself. There are many more things I could include.

Showing him you care is like saying "I love you".
