Senior lady in Alberta Canada
by: Lucille

I am a senior lady who lost her beloved husband 7 months ago and could certainly use a hug, and talk. I would love to hear about your travels with the military. I hope you have been to lots of exciting places. I manage building in my small town, and it helps keep me busy, but I just miss my husband so much. Hope to hear from you.

Hugs for you and your family.

Lucille

HI AGAIN

HI JOANN

I AM NOT SURE HOW THIS SITE WORKS, BUT I PUT A COMMENT ON YOUR PAGE. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

YOUR HUSBAND AND YOU LOOK LIKE A REALLY NICE COUPLE. AND I AM STILL A SENIOR WHO WOULD LOVE A HUG AND A FEW WORDS.

MILITARY WIFE
by: Sandy B

Hello,

I am so sorry you lost your family members. I can know how you feel as I lost my dad at 26 years old and my very best childhood friend in one year. I was heartbroken.

I have no one who I was raised with as all are deceased now for 10 years.

I adopt in my heart people as chosen family and I have many chosen grandchildren. I am in assisted living at 71 years old, I had brain surgery in 2001 and had strokes too so my memory is such I cannot never work again since 2001.

I am Catholic, play piano, live in assisted living for 10 years next year and spoiled with all the care I get here.

Sandy B

Thank you for your thought for seniors

We are a ex military family & we just happened upon your (we guess) blog.

Neither one of us is computer literate, but maybe you can decipher our gibberish. My wife knows exactly what you go thru with your husband being in the military.

I was a Army pilot in another part of the world & another time. We were posted to Ft. Ord a time or two & we were always glad to PCS out of there.

At one time in our other life I flew support for the marines. Now don't hold me to this because this was a while back, in fact it was a long time ago. I think they were 3rd bn 2nd marine up in I corp vn. Is your husband commissioned or enlisted.

It is really not that important for the simple fact that it takes both. One cannot work without the other.

If you folks get time drop us a few lines.

Dear Joann... I have chosen granddaughters now.
by: Gram Sandy

Hello Joann,

I am Sandy B, 71 years old in assisted living, adult home, as I had strokes and a brain operation in 2000-01 and have lived here for almost 9 years now.

I understand chosen family. I have that myself.

Everyone I was raised with is deceased, my sister, my favorite cousins even and they have been gone for 10 years now and longer some.

I am on your page for certain. So I do not feel sorry for myself I keep chosen family. You are welcome as a penpal online with me if you want.

All are chosen family active in person with me except one chosen penpal granddaughter from the UK. My family was from NC 3 out of 4 sides.

Mostly Salisbury, China Grove, Kannapolis areas of NC, and Monroe NC too. I was raised there in the summers and lived there for 5 years in the 80's.

I was account manager for NC Federal Bank in Salisbury, NC, in the early 80's. So I have chosen family now, and three were here yesterday and one wrote me from the UK today by email.I also joined the local Catholic Church lately and I am gaining a huge active church family.

Room for one more Joann. Gram Sandy B...

by: Chattycathie 48

Hi Joanie,

I?m chatty Cathie 48 from Salem; Utah was a navy wife for 23 years, traveled too much. Now I am divorced, a 34 year recovering brain injured from an accident occurred while stationed in Greece when I was 27, now living in Utah with my daughter and grandson just turned 62 and very lonesome.

Just moved here from San Diego, lived in Escondido close to Hgwy 78 and 15 which are close to Oceanside Marine Base was working in Carlsbad which I loved.

Try visiting Vista and San Marcos its nice area off 78. You have all the shopping and beaches you will get to know Hgwy 5 which you will love. Off 5 try San Clemintee Beach and Pier was my favorite place we visited every week.

I sure do miss my life in Calif. write to me and I will share more.
