New York Snowbird with a Home in Orlando

I am born and raised from New York state. I love the place but absolutely hate the intense winters that we get.

Since I have a good paying job, I decided to buy a house down in Orlando, Florida to move into in the winter time.

Florida is very beautiful and I love how it doesn't get as cold as New York does in the winter time. I normally stay from November to March.

I have a second job down there also so I don't have to worry about not having anything to do.

Besides working, in my spare time I like to go to the malls and hang out with my other friends who also move down there for the winter. Most days are regular days and I don't do anything special.

Occasionally, my wife and I will go out to eat at some local restaurants. Orlando is filled with them!

Every other year or so we'll plan to visit the theme parks down there. It's something different to do instead of just staying in the house all day.

We visit there every year because of the warmer climate and not having to deal with shoveling snow in our driveways. We made this decision 5 years ago and so far and it's been the best choice ever!

I would recommend anyone that is able to afford to do something like this to do it. It's so nice not dealing with the freezing cold and worrying about getting late to work because of a snow storm.
