Retired: Habitat for Humanity Scrapbooking

Habitat for Humanity Home
I design scrapbooks for each new family receiving a home from Habitat for Humanity.
I never fail to take pictures each and every step through the construction. If the volunteers work when it rains, I am there. If it is cold and windy, I am there.
It takes many, many hours to complete a beautiful scrapbook and I put my heart and soul into it. I also design graphics which I use to put in the scrapbook.
Example: I designed a post sign with the family name, house number, and street address and put that at the end of the album. No one pays me for my work, I am just another volunteer for the construction of the new home.
When they have the dedication of the home, I give the new homeowners the book which I call "Memories" and then take it back to complete it because the most important part of the scrapbook is the homeowners picture standing in front of their newly built home.
This is my passion and this is my work of art.
Doing this type of work keeps my mind alive and well. Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful organization to work for and anyone that has time on their hands should think about volunteering for them.
Believe me, you won't regret it!
