Retirement Hobby:
Collecting ball point pens

by roger hartup
(San Diego, California)

I have perhaps the largest and most unusual ball pen collection around. I would love to share thoughts and ideas of others who do that. I would love to share my display, but i do not know how to do it.

Wendy: You might want to start a free blog, take photos and write about each one... and post them on the internet to share with the world!

I collect pens, but just because I love them. I have lots of advertising pens as well as pens with funny cartoon heads, etc.

Happy Collecting!

I've collected ballpoint pens for over twenty years.
Unfortunately there does not seem to be many of us in the San Diego Area. If anybody is interested in starting a coffee meeting every month or so please contact me at delorrel at sbcglobal dot net.

Hey I too collect ball point pens. I just saw a u tube video of a guy in New Zealand who displayed his on a series lines in his shed, hung by the pocket clips. Picture the wall to wall bookshelf look.

I am cataloging mine in an excel chart. I will probably use his method soon. I have only 1800 listed, but about 5k to be sorted and listed. I too have some interesting, unusual, winners.

I have duplicates to sell/trade. I have hundreds of generic Papermates and Bics that take up space.
