Retirement party supplies

When planning a retirement party, you must first decide whether this will be a small intimate affair or a huge lavish party? Is this a retirement dinner or a hors d'oeuvres and desserts open house party?

Do you want to do a theme party? How many will you invite? Admission fee (dinners) or open house and everyone brings a dish like in office settings?

If you are working within a budget, even small things can go a long way to set the mood when decorating. Word confetti and balloons with happy retirement look great and don't cost a great deal to buy.

There are several themes you can have at a retirement party and you can even theme the party around the retiree's favorite movie, vacation spot, their occupation, hobbies, decade they started working,... the list goes on and on. You can get nostalgic too - the whole party could be about memories, just find old photos of everyone especially the retiree.

You can also have a retirement roast theme, retirement parties should all be about sharing memories so allow the guests to reminisce about the person retiring. Share stories, poke fun and tell jokes about the retiree, this should be a fun time for everyone. There are jokes, quotes and roasts here.

You can buy a vast range of retirement decorations to make your party look amazing. Balloons, banners, gifts, and center pieces can all be bought from websites. They offer a huge range of everything that you could possibly want for your party.

Making sure everyone is having a good time is essential and planning party games is a fun way for people to join in. They do not need to be difficult or complicated games, and the easier the better so people understand how to play. You could do a fun trivia quiz regarding the company that you worked for. By splitting everyone into two groups and asking them random questions about the company, you can have fun and involve everyone.

As you plan the retirement party you will begin to have fond memories, and remember to throw an amazing party as you only retire once.
