Movies and Poetry
by: Barbara

Hi, I too, love old black and white movies. I also like classical and country western music..right now I am watching Sweet Dreams. Great movie.

By the way, I am from Minnesota...although spent the last 10 years in Az. before moving back here.
No pets but also enjoy mysteries and writing poetry.

by: Jeanne

Hi Pat saw your advert in Senior Penpals, I'm Jeanne and live in London, England.

I'm 58 in March. Married with 3 daughters and 5 grandkids, I can't crochet, but knit and do some cross stitch. We love animals, but my husband has chronic asthma so we can't have any, but had lots of cats and 2 dogs before he became allergic.

I like cooking, talking, writing poetry and short stories, the theatre and cinema. I love black and whitefilms and most old films. I love Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn in the African Queen.

Would love to e-mail or can give u my address for correspondence, up to u. Take care for now, by the way I love to laugh too, and have a very good sense of humour, I sure need it with an ever-growing family!

Hi Pat

Your ad caught my eye because I read that you like cats and Cary Grant. I do too.

My favorite picture of his is An Affair to Remember.

I remember my aunt took me to see the movie when I was about 10.

I loved Deborah Carr too.
It certainly was different when I watched that movie as a grown woman! Cary Grant had alot of class.

We have a sweet little tabby cat now, but, before her we had three cats.

Fluffy was the Fancy Feast Cat and loved me.
We were always together, and she lived 14 years
Anthony was her son, another sweet and docile orange tiger cat who was best friends with my daughter. He only lived 11 years.

Then there was Maxine;

She lived with my in-laws on their small farm in Middlebury for about 4 years as a barn cat.
But then, she came to live with us.
She stole pizza off the stove, baked chicken off the table and "walked thru walls"
We would stand at the door and watch her go outside, only to look down and see her in back of us. Unbelievable.
She got stuck in a tree for 9 days and when she came down, was no worse for wear. Just very hungry.
She lived to be almost 20 years old.
