After the horrible senseless tragedy in the CT. school deaths, the holiday season has been zapped for 2012. Please pray for the families involved and their local community -- and hug your own family during the Christmas holidays!!

Now, a warning on email pen pals from a reader: "You are doing a great job with your news letter and so much info regarding senior life and retirement. But I think there might be some problems with scammers. Some of my very nice e-pals and myself have been receiving mail from U.S. soldiers, talking about all the hardships in Afganistan and in military life. But lately some of these young man are asking for money to give them a better chance when it is time to come home. These people seem to prefer ladies in other countrys who might be more soft hearted regarding the plight of these young man. Is there a way of controlling this situation? Thank you for your attention. Antoinette B., Calgary Canada."

OK, I must comment here... soldiers are not contacting seniors. I really doubt they are soldiers... no way! Scammers are... Please don't Ever Ever send money to anyone online. I can guarantee you it is a scammer from a huge fraud unit somewhere. If you DO get scam emails, please forward to me... Thank you! (p.s. this should no longer happen with the new senior pen pals... I've got it locked down pretty tight!)
