Retirement Age & Social Security

If I retire from my job at the age of 63, can I wait until the age of 66 to draw my ss benefits?

Wendy Absolutely... and if you can do that, more power to ya!

That option gives you a higher lifetime income - and frankly, you could draw that benefit 20 years or longer! It's important to get it as high as you can.

Plus, if you are married, your spouse may draw on that higher benefit, if you die first. If she lives longer, and many women do, she benefits from the extra income too.

So many more pluses.. it's a win-win if you can live off a pension first!!

Best Wishes!
