I'd like to write a poem:Twas the night before ChristmasAnd all through the houseWe retirees had gatheredWe'll leave out the mouseWe looked at our stockingsAll hung up with careKnowing that treatsWere hidden in thereWhen all of a sudden We heard such a clatterWe sprang from our seatsTo see what was the matterThe moon on the crestOf the new fallen snowShowed Elvis and guitarSomeone dressed up, you knowSo we rocked and we rolledTil midnight or pastWe danced and we partiedWe were having a blastBut now it is timeFor us to go homeLet me say Merry ChristmasI hope you enjoyed the poemby Guinn Shaddon
