Busy, Busy, Busy

by Ruth
(Buffalo, NY)

I took the day off yesterday.

I worked the last two weeks trying to rewrite my play (done). The other writing was getting the story of early Buffalo almost completed. Just waiting for a book to make sure my information is correct. One chapter to go. Then proofing and editing.

After that, I will be wandering through the catalog from the local Senior Center. And my camera is reminding me there are many things to see. I have a few. Weeks before I will be going to Tanglewood to witness the summer home of the Boston Symphony. The trip is paid for with funds I saved by giving up my car. Good trade!

Cruising by Buffalo
by: Loren In Oregon

My brother and I passed by Buffalo on Lake Erie in June of 2008 in a sailboat. Not much wind so we had to use our motor.

We were impressed by the eight windmills lined up like sentries; their arms will still. We went on by to Tonawanda to the Erie Canal, and in mid-June we ended up in Waterford.

I have written a few plays; drama major in college. As an actor I wondered about the playwrights, and later as a teacher I loved to introduce my students to Shakespeare. Later I wrote some short fiction.

There is a writer's forum on the retirement site, please take time to go there and request to join the group. It is a group of serious writers and a place to comment on the writing process.

Ruth's Journal for Seniors
by: Anonymous

Hi Ruth! Maybe you have already done something that might be useful to other members in this group.

It makes a lot of sense for seniors to think about writing a positive daily journal instead of focusing on negative thoughts, that don't inspire or help someone figure out their own retirement plan.

Keep it going!
