Still happy 5 years later

by Gabe

Been retired 5 years. I don`t do much other than sit on my PC. I do occasional and necessary stuff around the house but thats it. No interest in traveling. I have bad knees so standing or walking for long periods is a no no.

I am just really laid back. Not everyone needs to stay busy all day long.

I have paid my dues working for the last 55 years...now it`s time to kick back.

I've retired two years ago after working for fifty years as a secondary teacher. I loved that job and even worked in South Korea, China and Canada.

But I live alone in my house in Hobart Australia and do whatever comes my way. I'm getting ready to travel in a car and caravan on the east coast and travel to Sri Lanka later in the year.

Plus a cruise is on the cards at some stage in South Pacific.

I like to keep plans flowing as I think that keeps me healthy both physically and mentally. Just enjoy what makes you happy mate.

Keep going.Rayo

Still Happy

Yes, it is good to be happy and I see you can with yourself, Gabe. Your post is honest.

Some people just cannot do that and would never write a post like yours because they think it would make themself look bad. You just keep on doing what you want to do. There are people who cannot slow down no matter what and think they have to be busy every minute of the day.

I do what I want to do. I really enjoy helping others. Whatever makes me feel good about myself. Enjoy life is what I say!

Have a good day.
