What kind of lenses did you have put in for your cataract surgery that gave you 20/20 vision? I have cataracts and will be getting surgery. Thank you, Wendy, for sharing your experience.

I will be getting cataract surgery and have been exploring lense replacement options.

Good Question!

I have no idea what type of lenses I got. I know there were three levels and the top level meant you no longer needed glasses... I didn't choose that level as I fully intended on glasses.

What happened did surprise me... I can see far but I can no longer see close (phone, reading, etc).

I do have a new prescription which will correct that close vision...

BUT the doc said I do have 20/20 vision with both eyes. I know I read the bottom smallest line on the test too (something I have never done with or without glasses).

Not helpful, I know... the doc chose the lense, other than me choosing the middle choice (pricewise, and knowing I'd have glasses later).

ps. I think they can choose lenses that will do close or far vision the best... I wish mine had been close, but oh well, all good.
