I am 69 and have been receiving my pension since I was about 50 when I went on social security disability. I am wondering if I can get a lump sum payment now?

all the experts say do not take a buy out. if you are having money trouble figure a way to fix the problem, i know easy said. but like was said in last post, you need to keep that money coming in long term.

Pension Plans

All pension plans are not alike. Even if you can, please please do some calculations. Normally, the lifetime payments far outweigh the cash.

Call your employer or whomever is issuing payments and ask the question.

Do the work. Think it out.

I would bet you are going in the wrong direction. You need cash, but could greatly impair your financial stability in your later years! Be careful.
