I just wrote about how blessed I feel in early 2017, and it dawned on me that I should add a Prayers for Retirement page where retirees can ask for prayer! Here it is!
Thank you for retirement guidance
Thank You for the way that You have led me and been with me throughout my busy working career. I pray that You will not forsake me now that life is about to change as I face my forthcoming retirement. Amen.
Guide me through life transition into retirement
Gracious God, bless and preserve me during this time of transition. Day by day, guide me and give me what is needed, friends to cheer my way, and a clear vision of that to which you are now calling me. Be present in my retirement journey. I know that you are the way, the truth and the life. Amen.
May new retirement freedoms bring me joy
May my newly found retirement freedoms bring the great pleasure and deep satisfaction. May God bless my body with health and my soul with joy. May my life here continue to flourish in retirement. May God watch over me as I age, and shield me from harm.
Starting My Retirement
Lord, I pray that this may be a wonderful new beginning for me and not the end of the road, when retirement arrives. Help me to seize every opportunity that arises and to explore the skills and gifts that You have given me, so that they may be used to glorify Your name.
Welcome to Prayers for Retirement... this is where you can read existing prayer requests.
Feel free to print the list to pray over, or simply bookmark this page so that you can easily return later.
Prayers Work.
Sending prayers for you... and I hope you find something even bigger and better in life than you had imagined!
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
From the BIBLE:
Our retirement needs, our joys, our sorrows, our cares, and our fears – everything. It’s in the Bible, and that is what works for me!
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Phillipians 4:6
