Citizens for Better Care for Michigan Seniors in Long Term Care

The Citizens for Better Care organization, for Michigan Seniors, is an advocacy group helping seniors in long term care with their rights.

This is important to me as I had an uncle who went into a Nursing Home, quite unhappily. An attorney got involved, and he was allowed to move back home. I understand the families try to do what's best for the older person, but it's not always best...

Citizens for Better Care offers to be the Seniors representative for services in nursing homes, adult foster care, homes for the aged, assisted living, and also elder abuse prevention education.

The CBC also looks for volunteers who can do public speaking on long term care and senior rights - or if you have good listening and problem solving skills, they also need folks who will visit seniors asking for a representative. CBC will train these individuals.
