Income and retirement

I have no debt, thank God, I try to keep home, car, body repairs up to date. My son and I have 2 doxans that we see that they have their annual check ups. We have an emergency fund saved.

We have extra income beside the social security that I receive and we manage to save some of it also.

We are happy, what's to want??

More thoughts about working

It's reassuring to hear stories about those of you finding a good balance between your income needs and enjoyable activities in retirement.

I just want to add that many who have the interest to continue working are not driven to just earn income.

They are seeking other things that disappeared when they retired such as being involved in a purpose they strongly believe in, connecting with a new group of co-workers and paying back their experience to benefit others in some important way.

I know to continue working is not high on the list for everyone but many really have no choice - they just could not save enough to support themselves in retirement the way they had hoped.

My message is if you do plan to work, join the "Working in Retirement" group to let us know how we can help you make the most of both your leisure and working activities.

The majority of us want people in our lives who are close to us and we have a good relationship with. I think most of us are lonely!

Men get out of your favorite chair in front of the TV and go out into the world. Women are looking for you to have a relationship with.

There are lots of smart and beautiful women looking for you!
