So for all of the new retirees: Yes, It is normal to feel out of sorts! Here are a few things I have learned in the past few months.
1.Rest You will have more energy and be able to manage your emotions and enjoy your day.
2.Slow Down Give yourself permission to relax. Transition is a process.
3.Healthy Eating Eat proteins, vegetables, fruits. Decrease caffeine, sugar.
4.Stay active Put on your favorite shirt or lipstick. These things push us to feel positive-
then call a friend, get out of the house, surf the web, volunteer.
5.Express yourself Talk about your transition feelings with a friend or family member and share on Retirement-Online.
6.Enjoy Choose to be joyous and grateful each morning for this season of your life!
