fishing village on driftwood,

Having lost my partner a few years ago, getting over it was hard, but I have lots of interests which I lost all interest in !!

When I got my head back and thinking right, I started taking an interest again, I had a go at painting (hadn't done that for years), making things from found objects, and photography along with walking in the countryside.

I love driving and exploring. As soon as lockdown is over, I will get back in my car and end up in the lake district.

If anyone of you is interested, I have enclosed some things I have done, love your response's.

Hi Robert,

Good to hear you are taking an interest in life again after your sad loss of a partner.

I was (still am at heart) a Lancashire Lass who lived near to Colne many years ago. You are fortunate to live near to beautiful surroundings and just a stone’s throw from the Lake District.

As we all say now, when the pandemic is over, I hope to return to England where there is so much to see and do without travelling far. There is Devon, glorious Devon which the north country rivals with it’s own special scenic beauty!

Thank you for sharing that. I like your artwork. It has a lot of life in it and so varied!

Typically, I expect artists to lean toward one particular type of art. You must have it oozing out of your pores to be able to do such creative work in several different styles. I would love to see an art show put on by you.

Hope you get the chance to do that after covid becomes a thing of the past.

Very nice Robert! I too lost my husband four years ago. Have a son who is in college. Not quite retired yet but look forward to trips and learning languages.

Wow- what a beautiful piece of art! Wish I had the patience to do something like that. It's good to see that as we get older we do not let all of our talents gather dust. Keep on creating!

Those are beautiful. I agree with you about having interests. I was just thinking about that this morning. I am lucky I can spend all day on my hobbies/interests (except for housework LOL).

Way to go!

It’s so good to hear about other singles who just get out there and do stuff.

I retired 7 years ago, bought an RV and hit the road. Covid put a block on things but It will just make getting back on the road that much more fun! Keep on exploring!

So cool Robert!

Wow - what wonderful creations! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

More importantly, you got out of your head and realized what a treasure life is. Exploration and curiosity keep me going.

I love seeing, learning, experiencing new things. Life is a revelation every day. We just need to keep our minds open to seeing it.

Thanks again.

Incredible detail!

The fishing village is interesting and must have taken a lot of time. I'm sure it is even more in person and close up. I love the portrait of the mountains and I would say you are very talented. So glad God has given you these interests and got you going again. Keep up the good work.
