Memorial Day, the year.....ANY&ALL!

As we approach yet another day of rememberances of those lost in conflicts over SO MANY years, we should give thought to our feeling and memories NOT only on this day, BUT thruout the years of ALL our departed for what ever reason.

As long as we keep them in our thoughts and memories. They will live on.

It is when NO ONE remembers our departed that they die! Obviously we cannot remember someone that we NEVER knew, and so it is with all of us. Eventually we will ALL be forgotten as history turns the pages of time!

For now, during the present, cherish those memories and hold them close to your hearts all those that have crossed your path in life, because ONE day, they will be remembering YOU!

You live forever in your family tree

I always say that one never dies until you are no longer spoken of or remembered. However, each of us is a part of a family tree.

I traced the one branch of my family back to 1743 in Germany. My great-great-great-great-great-great Grandfather and Grandmother died many years ago and I never heard anyone mention them. However, since I was able to trace them, they came alive again.

I look at my body and wonder what parts I may have gotten from them. We will live forever in our place on our family tree.

In addition to family, I am amazed at the number of people we will interact with and come in contact with throughout our lives. Strike up a conversation with someone in line at the supermarket, and suddenly, you just became a part of each other's lives. Amazing!
