Retiring: Sale of LLC?

I am getting ready to retire at age 62, I have a full time career now and also own an llc. Can I sell the llc to my wife before I retire so that the income is not reflected as my personal earnings?

Wendy: I don't have an answer to that... maybe a tax consultant can help you. I really don't know business taxes... sorry!
