Should I, Wood I

I decluttered my wood pile in my backyard and gave it all away.

The last of my fireplace wood is on my front porch but I have not used it in 3 years with the exception of maybe about one-third of it.

I'm not sure if I should give the whole pile away and just buy A cord every now and then when I want to use it in the winter time in my fireplace.

Keep some or get a gas insert

If the wood doesn't bother you, and you think you might want to use it, just keep it. If you don't think you'll ever use it again, get rid of it.

You can always buy a small amount to use now and then - or maybe buy a few pieces off of a neighbor.

You might also want to buy a gas log insert for your fireplace. We replaced the wood stove in the living room of our our summer home with a propane gas stove. Now, whenever we need some heat and the ambiance of of a fire, we just push the button on the remote. Safer than a wood stove, and no cleanup. No having to wait for the fire to burn down.

Easy!
