I am still working in hospitality industry but I think it is time to call quit now.

I am bored of 9 to 5 routine. I have busy schedule at present morning to night but I feel I am missing something worthwhile.

Since I am Indian, and as per Indian tradition, I live with my grown up son hence no worry of any kind, financial or family. He is the only son and busy with his work so he needs my moral and personal support.

I am in two mind at present whether to continue or retire from the job. I am trying to find some social/volunteer work in nearby area as I don't like to travel by public transport, which is always crowded.

Since I am working with a private firm, there is nothing like pension or other benefits hence no use of continuing in the same job for a long period.

I am interested in beginning a friendship with seniors in hopes that when I retire in three years we would be able to meet one another.

I am particularly interested in writing to seniors in Germany, France, and Sweden. I lived in Germany for 9 years as a child and plan to visit when I retire. I also had a German exchange student live with my family for a year when my children were in high school. He lives in Northern Germany and we still communicate with one another.

I would like to learn about the French culture and visit Paris, in particular, as well as the countryside in France. My great-grandparents emigrated to the USA in the late 1800's from Sweden and I would like to visit Sweden to learn more about my family's culture.

I haven't been able to travel in the USA as much as I would have liked to do, but look forward to traveling some in my own country to discover the beauty and hearts of the American people.

I have two adult children, Josh and Mimi. I was married for 21 years and have been divorced for 21 years. My former husband and I have remained on friendly terms. I have had he and his wife for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. I have one grandson, Christopher. I have one very old dog and two cats.

I have an undergraduate degree in Art (sculpture) with a minor in Art History and a Master's degree in Social Work. I have worked in the human services field for over 35 years and find I am wanting to develop the creative part of my life.

I love cooking and having friends for dinner and stimulating conversations. I enjoy gardening, as well as movies, theater, opera, concerts, reading, and other cultural events. I have been physically active by running, biking, dancing, doing yoga and working out.

Politically, I am a moderate liberal. I grew up in the Christian faith but respect and draw from the spiritual and uplifting beliefs of other world faiths. I am active in the Quaker meeting where I have attended for over 25 years.

I love vintage things and I love new things, I enjoy finding little out of the way bookshops and am an avid trivia ( except sports of which I know little) player. I LOVE Jeopardy! and
beat the pants off most people I know, but it is no fun to play alone, so I am looking for someone who wants to come out and play with me!

Hi, I am a widow, recently retired, and with my kids all grown am looking for new things to do and new friends to meet.

I find playing chess with my computer challenging. Apparently, I don't play very well since the computer always wins. Except for once, I caught him on an off-day and I actually beat him. He vowed never to let that happen again. So far, he has been true to his word.

I have more success with sudoku and jigsaw puzzles which occupy a lot of my time.

Reading is a great pleasure of mine, mainly mysteries (the British write the best.) I love books with diverse and unusual characters. The weirder the better.

My daughter gave me THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH for Christmas. No lack of weird characters there, unfortunately all too real. I am still trying to comprehend the many facets and complexities of WWII. Wish me luck on that! But first I must finish SLEEPING MURDER by Agatha Christie. Who did it? I don't know yet, but I will have it solved before the end.

In the evenings, I enjoy a movie with hot cocoa and Timmy and Dudley (doggies) on my lap.
